Johnny Warren's racing career all started with his dad John Warren who was a somewhat of an accomplished racecar driver. When Johnny was born his dad knew from the beginning that his son would be a racer. So John bought Johnny a dirt racing go-cart and had him racing as soon as possible, when Johnny was only 5 years old. Johnny's winning didn't take long to get going either. By only his fifth race Johnny had won beating out kids older and more experienced than him. It was " All down hill from there" because after this Johnny won the track Championship at the Maxville Grand Prix the next 2 years in a row. After all this success John took Johnny to race in his first national event. This race was at Jasper Raceways in Jasper, Fl. Johnny was only 7 years old racing against 9 and 10 year olds but he qualified on the pole and finished a solid 3rd place overall. Johnny had much more success in national events after this. By the time Johnny had turned 14 he was already waivering in to get his stock car license at Putnam County Speedway. His first race was at that track on May 5, 2007 where it was to be his first time ever driving a race car on a track. Johnny shocked other racers, his family, and himself when he won his heat race and qualified on the pole for the main event. But the biggest shock of all was when he won the main event! At this point John realized that his son was "the real deal" and after Johnny won 9 of 11 races and won the track championship he was ready to move up. Later that year John bought Johnny a Championship winning open wheel modified which Johnny is currently racing and excelling in, with many top 5 finishes. As of this point John and Johnny are looking for a car owner or at least a well funded sponsor, because expenses are high and The team is developing a need for better equipment in order to be competitive.
